Ok for the non-math geeks Pi (3.1415926535... or better rounded to 3.14 i.e March 14th, Albert Einstiens birthday is a day for us math geeks to celebrate and actual throw a party in our classrooms)
At our school we had a school wide pi-day. We even had a comedian come at lunch to talk with the students. It was amazing how many students showed up in the gym on their own time.
Well the reason i am putting all this onto the blog is becuase we had the first annual (hopefully) pi day dance off. And somehow my team which was me and 3 gentlemen from my 2nd period class danced to Usher's "Yeah" and won!!! Well I am not sure if you can call what i did dancing it was a mix of the dance moves from "Hitch" and "Napolean Dynamite." But either way we had about 10 classes out in the parking lot watching the dance off between 3 math classes.
Well dispite the major embarassment the students and teachers all had a blast.
AND HAPPY PI DAY
if you missed this pi day you could also celebrate July 22nd. (22/7 is another way to represent Pi)
