The Best Cookies Ever!!!!!

So today was a relaxing day.  Girls had cheer camp in the morning then we decided to bake this afternoon. Mia helped me make the best cookies ever and Peyton and her dad made a smores dessert.  But I decided to share my source for the best cookies ever.  Seriously the best!!!
I have modified the recipe from the original slightly just because I don't particularly like nuts in my cookies.
Here is what you'll need:
1 stick butter, room temperature
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
2 cups oatmeal (not quick cooking)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup white chocolate chips

Here are the crucial steps:
oatmeal cookie recipeCream together the butter and brown sugar. It does not get light and fluffy because there is not enough butter in it, but don’t worry, it will all be okay.

Add the dry ingredients to the bowl.  This is a very dry batter.

Now mix with a wooden spoon till all mixed together.  Dont forget this is a pretty dry batter, that is OK, it still tastes delicious.

Place cookies on cookie sheet covered in parchment paper.  (Cookies should be about a spoonful, make sure all are pretty  much the same size; this helps them cook evenly)

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes.

After the 8-10 minutes take cookies out and let sit for about 1-2 minutes (basically just long enough for you to put the next batch in).

Pull off the parchment paper and let rest for another 1-2 minutes before you place each cookie on a metal wire rack for cooling.

After cookies are cooled you can place them in tupperware to store (line each row with same parchment paper you used early this helps them not to stick) or you can eat them.

This recipe makes about 4 dozen depending on how much you eat raw (not recommended but then who can resist)

A FEW TIPS:
Make sure each new batch is put onto a cooled cookie sheet.
Always use room temperature butter (DONT MELT IN MICROWAVE)

ENJOY!!!
